Apr 12thTreating infertility with acupuncture and herbs

Several studies have found that women who get acupuncture treatments — whether to treat conditions that can interfere with getting pregnant (such as polycystic ovary syndrome, or PCOS) or to increase the chances of a successful IVF — have a higher rate of pregnancy and births. Some fertility doctors recommend acupuncture for their patients to help lower overall stress levels, because stress hormones can lower fertility hormones like progesterone. We will discuss different ways acupuncture and herbs would help with female/male infertility.

Apr26thTreating mental disorder with Acupuncture and herbs

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has a long history of treating shen (mind spirit), or mood disorders. Studies show acupuncture releases endorphins in the brain which lift the mood, relieve pain and are responsible for giving “runners high”. We use a combination of acupuncture and herbal therapy to effectively treat mental disorders. Acupuncture induces a deep, relaxed state, which is quite helpful for those who are tense and stressed.
